I'm so glad you're here! Islay's Terrace (pronounced eye-lah) is a lovingly curated gift shop located on the beautiful Main Street of Hudson, MA.
We specialize in handmade and artisan goods, stationery, yarn, fiber arts, knitting notions and books by women and diverse authors.

By hand & with heart. The work sold in our shop is all handmade, small batch, and created by individual artists, not big factories. More than 95% of the makers in our shop are women - each purchase you make supports an independent, woman-owned artisan and business. Many of our goods are made locally or regionally in New England.

We carry a curated selection of new recently-released fiction and non-fiction titles.
The majority of the books that we carry are written by women and traditionally under-represented writers - authors of color and members of the LGBTQIA+ communities. It's our goal to amplify their voices and share their stories with you.
We also carry a selection of non-fiction books featuring nature, native plant gardening, ecology, cooking & crafts.
We stock a small selection of used hardcover titles.
Yarn & Fiber Arts
Our mission is to promote all things handmade, and help YOU make in the process! We stock a selection of craft kits and fiber arts notions including embroidery and cross-stitch kits, embroidery and mending thread, crochet kits, needle felting kits, craft and knitting books, and a rotating selection of other fiber art notions and goodies!
We love wool and pride ourselves on curating a yarn selection that is worth cherishing – we stock a variety of squish-worthy yarns from small mills and makers and a variety of local indie dyers as well as our own hand-dyed botanically dyed yarn and hand-spun yarn collection.
